With a very positive attitude and a belly full of bacon you are greeted today. I have purposely had to spend time away from blog in order to regroup from stress and focus on the important things in life. Not sure who I would be without my family, but I know that I would not be as loved, challenged, supported, encouraged, happy, creative and as crazy. La Familia Garza is so dynamic. Everyone has strong points of view and very determined. We do better when we are together because we have such a strong bond, at the same time we are not all in each other's business. Parents will be here on May 10th to celebrate Mexican Mothers Day. If there is ever a day to remember when in Mexico, it's May 10th:)
When visiting the Segner Family in 2012 we were able to spend time in their home. Their family consisted of two parents, four American children, five Healing Faith team members (Apio, Tom, Emma, Simon, Zippi's husband- Moses), as well as hundreds of children from the village. The white people are called Mzungu in the city. As the Segner little girl was playing with her Little Mermaid coloring book, she colored herself as a black mermaid. Hadlee had no distinction in her mind of the color of her skin since none of her family treated her different. It was such a blessing to see a true environment where skin color was not seen as a difference, but as an equal. True family Love:)
I boldly pray for the WHOLE Segner family. That the lives the Segner American Family and the Segner Ugandan Family become so interrelated that no one sees color difference. Lord please let these wonderful Mzungus know how much their Aggie family loves them and misses them terribly. Lord keep the Segners strong and safe today. Amen
